The declaration recognizes, within the proceedings, those who have established heirship. It does not by itself divide the estate or resolve every asset issue.
Practical effect
It is a milestone for registrations, administration and distribution of assets. Later steps depend on the estate and any agreement or dispute among interested parties.
Individual review
A will, heirs in different jurisdictions or complex assets can change the path. The proceedings must be assessed as a whole.
